I had to do that with a 9mm upper once, as I needed to tighetn the barrel nut but the plastic 9mm deflector would not allow the reciever to fit in the receiver block. WebObviously the issue was with the upper itself, not the BCG or CH. The motherfucking elevation drum on the rear sight was pushing the screw (or whatever that part is) too far down into the upper and grabbing onto the CH and BCG, locking them into place. I gave it a turn, put it back together, and charged it about 50 times, all smooth as butter.
